·        Upcoming rehearsals and events

o   Memorial Day

§  Practice Thursday 5/23 after school 3:15-4:30 – New girls are invited to participate.

§  Parade 10 AM on Monday – Call Time is 8AM

o   Fourth of July Parade (Not Mandatory, but encouraged)– Please sign up here so we can get a head count for the picnic.

§  June 25 3:30-8:00 – Picnic and Practice

§  June 26-27 – 5:30-8:00 – Practice

o   Marching Band Camp

§  August 5-8 - 5:30-8:30

§  August 7 8:30 – Parent Meeting

o   Rehearsals will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-5:00 once school starts in the fall.

·        Rome 2020 information: - I will need to know if you are going ASAP to get students registered and on the list.

o   The Red Devil Marching Band is scheduled to perform in the New Year's Day Parade in Rome, Italy, on January 1, 2020, on a school board approved trip and there are currently 130 participants registered. If you are currently in 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th grade and in band, you are invited to participate The trip is largely all inclusive, will run from December 27, 2019, through January 3, 2020, and is currently priced at $3515 per person for double occupancy rooms. Chaperones will have the option to pay additional for a single room. You can look through a Sample Band Itinerary, for more information about sight seeing and meal options.

o   Payments are due in the Web Store as follows:

o   $495 by 3/1/18 The first deposit was removed in the web store. If you are interested in joining the trip, email Mr. Kurinsky!

o   $755 on 4/15/19

o   $755 on 5/31/19

o   $755 on 8/15/19

o   $755 on 10/15/19

o   The first $100 is non-refundable and all other payments are non-refundable after 5/1/19. The cost of the trip includes trip insurance. Web Store payments are free if you use an electronic check through your bank; however, they charge a 3% fee for using credit cards.

o   If you are interested in joining the band as a chaperone or if you have multiple children participating in the trip, pay for each person separately. If you filled out our Google Interest Form, you are not enrolled in the trim. Making a payment in the Web Store is the way to officially register.

Color Guard Summer Camps

Every summer, Fred J. Miller Skill Clinics offer color guard training at one of two camps. Those who attend camp often are more prepared and excited for the upcoming season. I strongly encourage every member to attend at least one of the camps.
